I photographed the preview party for Jack’s in San Francisco as it prepared to reopen—marking the return of a longtime city staple. The evening felt like a reintroduction rather than a reinvention, with familiar energy resurfacing in a space that already holds decades of memory.
There was a quiet sense of anticipation in the room—people reconnecting with a place they thought they knew, now stepping into its next chapter. It carried that distinctly San Francisco feeling of continuity and change existing at the same time: honoring what Jack’s has always been, while welcoming what it’s becoming again.
